What food do you recommend?

Which foods do you recommend for a 3 month old? Currently the breeder has our soon-to-be pup on Pedigree Large Breed (she had been using something "top of the line" but switched the pups over because she figured most people buying them wouldn't want to spend 50 bucks a bag). That said, I would like to gradually switch him to something better (though not necessarily 50 bucks a bag, unless that is far and away the best choice).
Does anyone have recommendations?
(As a side question, if any of you just happen to be the Houston area (west side), do you have a vet recommendation? The breeder is too far away for us to realistically use their vet.)
Thanks in advance!
My caine started on Bill Jack Large breed puppy, then I found a product called Enova again large breed puppy, as I was about to transition into large breed adult I found Taste of the wild.
We love taste of the wild they have three variants in case your pup has food allergies, its a one type fits all food solution.
My girl devours it and the droppings are easy to clean up. It cost less per bag then the above mentioned foods and the serving size is smaller the vet says she is the perfect weight and I have had her on this for about a year now.http://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/
Which formula do you use?
I use the prairie, there is an Elk hound in the house hold as well who does not do well with foul and they both eat the same thing (so nice to only have to buy one type of food instead of different brands and different formulas.
I will get the small bags, the big bag in this area goes for about 39.99 but I pick up the small bag for "treats" it works great.
small bag of other mountain that is

I would encourage you to check out this site
. It's a good starting point for learning more about dog food. You can go to your local stores and make a quick list of the foods they offer, then see how they rate and why.
